Dr. Christy Fortney
Dr. Christy Fortney grew up in a dental family in Rancho Bernardo, and her upbringing made a huge impact on the direction of her life. More than anything, Dr. Fortney values two things: her beautiful family and creating healthy, stunning smiles through orthodontics.
Inspired by the days she spent cleaning instruments in her father’s oral surgery office, she knew early on that she wanted to help people achieve the smile of their dreams. In 1994, Dr. Fortney graduated with her B.S. in Biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. After that, she received her general dental degree in 1998 from Northwestern University. To complete her dental training, in 2001, she earned a specialty degree in Orthodontics from the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Fortney sought to distinguish herself further, and obtained her Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2006, the highest level of achievement in orthodontics.
Dr. Fortney’s dedication, drive and passion are unquestionable when it comes to orthodontics. She’ll work tirelessly to find the unique solution for your smile so that you can wear it proudly and healthily for the rest of your life!
Dr. George
Dr. George is a gifted and experienced professional with an unmistakable southern charm that wins over all of her patients. Born and raised in Northeast Louisiana, Dr. George was inspired to pursue a career in orthodontics as a result of her own experience of getting braces while in middle school.
After graduating summa cum laude from Louisiana State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a Chemistry minor in 2011, she continued at LSU to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2015. In 2018, she completed her three years of specialty training in orthodontics at Texas A&M – Baylor College of Dentistry, where she obtained her certificate in orthodontics. Once Dr. George completed her residency, she completed the requirements and examination necessary to become board-certified in Orthodontics – a distinction held by only 35% of orthodontists in the United States.
Dr. George believes in the power of expert and individualized orthodontic treatment to restore patients’ confidence and self-esteem through a fabulous and healthy smile. Similar to her own positive experience, Dr. George’s goal is to make your treatment fun, exciting, comfortable, and memorable.
