If her accent doesn’t give it away, Dr. George was born and raised in Northeast Louisiana. She was initially inspired to pursue orthodontics through her own experience of getting braces while in middle school. That initial interest has now grown into one of her true passions in life (along with exploring, adventure, learning and baking). She has since traded Cajun country for sunsets on the beach (and is loving every second of it). Dr. George brings with her a combination of southern hospitality and a passion for giving patients the smile they’ve always wanted. She is a welcome addition here at Hidden Valley Orthodontics.

Education & Credentials

Dr. George completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in 2011, where she graduated summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. Inspired by the fun experience she had during her own treatment, and how happy she was with her transformed smile, she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Louisiana State University in 2015. While at LSU she was involved in research, service projects and many organizations including Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society.

In 2018, she completed her three years of specialty training in orthodontics at Texas A&M – Baylor College of Dentistry, where she obtained her certificate in orthodontics. She also achieved a Masters of Science degree in Oral Biology for her thesis, which was subsequently published in the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. Upon completing residency, Dr. George successfully completed the requirements and examination necessary to become board-certified in Orthodontics – a distinction held by only 35% of orthodontists in the United States.

Professional Life

Dr. George is passionate about orthodontics and helping people restore their confidence and self-esteem through a beautiful and healthy smile. She loves continuing to feed her desire to learn and grow as a practitioner and is dedicated to providing ethical, evidence-based and patient-centered care.

One of her favorite aspects of her profession is getting to know patients and their families as they begin their smile journey. Similar to her own positive experience, Dr. George’s goal is to make your treatment fun, exciting, and comfortable.

Beyond the Office

When she is not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. George loves spending time with her husband David, a fellow tooth lover, who is an Oral Surgeon in the United States Navy. Together they enjoy feeding their culinary curiosity, hiking new trails, strength training and planning their next travel adventure. Dr. George is an avid reader (and listener) of books and loves exploring the place she now calls home.
